I grew up in Santa Fe and attended Santa Fe Unit School K-12. My dream of becoming a teacher began in Kindergarten, so after graduation, I attended Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, TN where I earned my BS degree in Early Childhood Education. In 2026 I went back to college and earned my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction through Western Governor's University. I began my teaching career at MPES in 2003 and have loved every minute! Each day I get to come to work and help children grow as learners.

I live in Columbia with my husband, Brian, and we have 3 children, Austin, Kaylee (who's now married), and Adam. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and watching Hallmark movies. I'm excited to begin another wonderful school year at Mt. Pleasant Elementary, where students come first!
