I’m so excited to start my 22nd year here at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School. I’ve taught 3rdgrade for 3 years, 4th grade for 18 years, and was the school Title I Facilitator for 1 year. I’m always eager to learn and grow with my students, parents, and other teachers.
I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a B.S. in Elementary Education. Then I received my masters from Tennessee State University in Administration and Supervision. Later, I attended Middle Tennessee State University and earned my E.D.S in Curriculum and Instruction.
I was born and raised in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. I’m married with three girls. In my spare time I love to read, do volunteer work, and spend time with my family.

We have an exciting year ahead that will be filled with lots to explore, experience, and learn!
I received my professional teacher training and Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Lipscomb University in 2011. I have been teaching at MPES since 2012. I am also an MPES and MPHS alumnus! It is an honor to have the opportunity to teach in the very elementary school that I attended as a child.
In my spare time, you can find me with my husband and daughter traveling and shopping. We love spending time at the beach or in the mountains. Some of my favorite things to do are baking for family and friends or watching Hallmark movies.
I am looking forward to another exciting year of learning and growing from both myself and my students here at MPES!

I was born and raised in Lawrence County, TN. I have taught since 1993. My first 13 years were spent at Sacred Heart Catholic School teaching kindergarten. I have taught kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades in Maury County Schools. I have been happily teaching here at MPES since fall of 2016. I have one daughter who lives in Spring Hill and works in Brentwood. Teaching is the only profession I have ever wanted. I feel that it is a calling, and it is my passion. My heart is happy and full. I am proud to serve you and your children at Mt. Pleasant Elementary.

I am looking forward to another great year at Mt. Pleasant Elementary. I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a BS in elementary education and earned my master’s degree in reading. I have been teaching since 2006.
I live in Hampshire with my husband and our three children. We enjoy our life on our farm in a small close-knit community.
