I have always believed that teaching is a work of heart!
My childhood dreams of becoming a teacher became reality when I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education in May of 2020. I began teaching second grade for Maury County Public Schools that same year.
I was born and raised in Maury County - where my husband, Hayden, and I are now raising our three awesome children: Alex, Holden, and Ava. I enjoy spending time with my family and being a part of this whole-hearted community.

I graduated in May of 2012 from MTSU with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I have spent my career teaching 3rd and 2nd grade. I LOVE teaching and try to instill that love into my students each day. I have lived in Columbia/Lawrenceburg for most of my life. I have been married since 2007 to Tyler Brown. We have 3 amazing children: Emree, Tatum, and Maddux. We have one puppy named Rocket who we love! Most of my free time is spent with my husband and three kids! We love to spend time together playing games and watching movies! I am so grateful to be teaching at MPES and absolutely LOVE my job!
I am from Mt. Pleasant, where I attended elementary, middle, and high school! I attended Columbia State, then MTSU where I attained my bachelor's degree in education. I've been teaching since 2015 and truly believe I have the best job there is. I love to incorporate my creativity into my lessons to keep learning fun. My family consists of my husband, two kids, and two dogs. We enjoy spending time playing games together. I am so happy to be at MPES!

I have been teaching at MPES since 2017. I graduated from MTSU in 2016 with a Bachelors in Education. I am very fortunate to work at such a wonderful school filled with people who truly care about the success of our Tiger Cubs! I love teaching and learning from my students each day. I live in Mt. Pleasant with my husband; Josh and three daughters; Evelyn, Charlotte, and Nora. You may see my daughters at MPES, as they are also Tiger Cubs! We love to spend time together traveling and going on adventures.
It’s been said that winding roads lead to the most wonderful destinations. I’m so glad that they led me to Mt. Pleasant Elementary!
I graduated from Harding University in 1991, and I have taught Kindergarten through 7thgrade. My husband, Leslie and I have three children, Allen, Malori and Chase. We, also, have two dogs, Toby and Coach. I love to read and spend time with my family and friends!
I believe that it is our job to meet children where they are, and push them to achieve more than they ever thought they could. I hope that our students will never stop questioning what they don’t know, learning from others, and growing from their experiences! I’m looking forward to another great year at MPES!!!
